EXECUTIVE CHEF: ISRAEL MEDINA
Originally from Guatemala, Chef Medina got his start in the industry as a dishwasher at Biba Boston. A fast learner and team player, Chef Medina soon found himself jumping in wherever he was needed to help get the crew through service. Within a year, he was promoted to line cook, under the guidance of legendary local chef and restaurateur Lydia Shire.
After stints at some of Boston’s best restaurants, Chef Medina joined the team at BOKX 109 5 years ago, where he mastered the art of butchery and worked to push his creative boundaries. His hard work and exacting attention to detail earned the admiration of his fellow team members.
As BOKX 109’s Executive Chef, Medina pushes boundaries of steakhouse and New American cuisine, using of-the-moment techniques and the best local ingredients to offer a distinctive dining experience that is a favorite among food lovers in the Boston area.

“Everybody in the pool!” BOKX offers a one of a kind, South Beach style pool experience which features private cabanas, live fire pits and a full service outdoor bar.
The pool is open Monday through Friday, from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
Daytime Pool Pass is available first-come, first-serve, weather permitting. No reservations.
